Someone like You

I just heard this song (below) and I immediately fell in love with it and while I listened to it about 20 times I made this image.

Yadokari

Photos I used are below. I've taken them myself.

Inspiration Music:

"Yadokari - are the people who dont have their own home and have to stay in the cheapest hotels. The reason for it can be escaping from mafia. Meiko has a lot of such roles in yakuza movies, where she revenges or just fights with mafia and as a result quits normal life and lives as a yadokari. For a Japanese this is the worst way of living, so she sings about despair and hoplessness of such life."

The Moon who doesn't feel like shining

- Just keep my head up, I don't wanna fall. (says the head)
- Well, I think the moon's coming down too. (says the lady whose body is a part of the pilar)
- Oh shut up ladies, I'm sinking. (says the mask)

The Moon keeps quiet.

Tomorrow

There's always Tomorrow. At least for some of us.

Edit: The original image is below. I've taken it many years ago in Finland. The house is called Villa Junghans.

Tears of the Lonely Lion

Luova Lauantai - Creative Saturday

The challenge this time is Chopin's Nocturne no.20. I love it and I really enjoyed creating this challenge image! I always listen to music while doing images and I found this song very inspiring.

Images I used:
Background is a photo I've taken several years ago in Finland.

The lion is from my sheet called "The Spirits of Lions". You can purchase the sheet in my Etsy or my Elegia shop.

Left Outside Alone

I woke up, brushed my teeth. Then I make some coffee for myself and lit a candle. I put on my headset and started to listen to this. Repeat all over again when I create this piece.

I've made this background image some time ago, but haven't been using it before.

Here're the photos I used (I've got them from my sister).

I needed something to put into the image. I found the face I like. I just needed to borrow new hair for her.

Then I deeded a body. I chose this, 'cause I like brides. Then I erased the colours and changed her head and started to colour her again.

Then it was time to put the stuff together. My desk is usually quite clean. I can't work, if it's too messy. We have a nice gray day coming here today as you can see.

But the image is still somehow empty. Suddenly I remembered a song called Left outside alone. That's how I think the lady feels and started to listen to this.

I wanted the house be alive, so I switch on the light on the top floor. Then I put some sticks in the fireplace and the smog started to spread out of the chimney.

Moonlight would be also nice. And then it began snowing. It is really cold outside!

"...And I wonder if you know
How it really feels
To be left outside alone

When it's cold out here
Well maybe you should know
Just how it feels

To be left outside alone
To be left outside alone..."

How did I (try to) do it?

I don't usually feel very comfortable for showing my unfinished works, but I now do an exception. Thanks to Susu and her challenge:

"It’s interesting to look at the process of making something, whether the making is preparing food, building a house or creating a painting, for instance."

Please, read and watch more here.

I have started to do this "thing" (image below) about 5 months ago, lol. I mainly use Photoshop, but sometimes Gimp too. So far I have not use Gimp in this piece.

Somehow I feel difficult to continue it - believe me, I have tried many times! I really don't know why. The image doesn't distress me and I even kind of like it.

I just don't know what to do with it. I could add more (dead) bodies there or maybe a couple of zombies or whatever is creepy. But I don't want to do that.

I still have an obsession to do something to this and I will now continue to start keeping a "diary" about doing it. Maybe it will stimulate my imagination, I hope.

So this is the first part of my process. Below are the images (they are all public domain) I've used in this piece so far. In the future I will tell more closely with real photos about the process.

Oh no, my keyboard's battery are low. Must find batteries!
